DO YOU WORK WITH NON-BLACK FAMILIES?
Yes, I do. Diversity!
DO I NEED A HOME STUDY TO WORK WITH YOU?
No you don’t. You will need one eventually, and I will provide you with the necessary resources.
HOW LONG IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?
That’s a broad question. Let me try to narrow it down. The average KBAS wait-time is between six-eight months. Over the last eight months, I’ve had a total of six families who have signed the KBAS agreement and in less than 72 hours, they had their baby! MINDBLOWN. There is no secret. Right place, right time.
DO YOU WORK WITH SINGLE WOMEN and SINGLE MEN?
Yes and Yes! Inclusion & Diversity. I love working with single families!
WE HAVE BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN, WILL YOU WORK WITH US?
Yes! I have walked alongside numerous adoptive parents who have biological children as they adopted.
WE ARE ALREADY SIGNED WITH ANOTHER ADOPTION PROFESSIONAL, CAN WE STILL WORK WITH YOU?
Yes, of course! I think the more people you have on your professional team, the better.
DO YOU WORK WITH NEW YORK FAMILIES?
It breaks my heart… but no. New York families are prohibited from working with adoption consultants.
DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH NORTH CAROLINA FAMILIES AND PARTNER WITH NORTH CAROLINA ADOPTION ENTITIES?
Great question. No & No. I work with families located throughout the United States and Military families living abroad. KBAS partners with adoption entities throughout the United States. These entities include licensed placement agencies and attorneys.
I DO NOT require my KBAS families to sign with any existing partners.
ARE YOU LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY?
Yes I am! Diversity & Inclusion!
CAN I BE GENDER SPECIFIC?
Yes you can. At KBAS, you have a voice, and your concerns are valid. Which means, you are allowed to have preferences. You are allowed to be specific on gender, race, substance exposures, and predisposed health concerns. KBAS is a judgement free zone.
IS THERE FUNDING ASSISTANCE?
Yes, there are numerous adoption grants and other funding options that are shared in the KBAS Funding Guide.
ARE ADOPTION CONSULTANTS AND ADOPTION FACILITATORS THE SAME?
No. We are not the same. As an adoption consultant, I never work with expectant mothers, or first mothers. I only work with the prospective adoptive family.
DO YOU HAVE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?
No, I don’t. If you can become home study approved, and I believe we are a good fit, welcome to the family!
